REGULATION:

The contestants participate in the different categories established through the open system, which consists of evaluating whether the contested piece is worthy of one of the three award levels: gold, silver or bronze.

REGISTRATION:

from October 10 to 26 via online at elbaluard.net or e-mail to info@elbaluard . net. In person on Friday 27 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

If the registration is done online/e-mail, the price is €20. If completed in person, the price will be €30. For the categories of vehicles, the price will be €5. Members of El Baluard have free registration. Payment can be made in person during registration. Registration gives the right to: compete, as well as participation in different activities.

By registering a minimum of 5 figures of 54 mm (minimum) of any category, historical or fantasy, the Baluarte gives away a 75mm figure of Pedro II the Great or a 75mm fantasy figure. Except for the participants in the category of dioramas and vehicles who will be awarded a different gift.

Inscriptions can always be modified, even in person, at no additional cost. The face-to-face registration process will include the reception, where the pertinent verifications or modifications will be made, the labeling and transfer of the pieces to the organizers. Here ends the work of the contestant. The organization will place the pieces in the corresponding showcase, therefore, the figures WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE in decorated displays. The figures will be presented, for all contestants, alone and without added decoration. The contestant may bring a diagram for the ideal arrangement of the figures in the showcase and the organization will try to follow these indications whenever possible. Junior participants will not pay registration.

CATEGORIES:

- Junior: Children under 18 years of age, participating with figures of any theme.

– Historical: Intended for all figures located in credible historical contexts, both of real, cinematographic or literary origin. It will be subdivided into 3 levels:

• Standard (beginners or with little experience).

• Master Painting (commercial figures painted by established artists).

• Master Open (Deeply transformed painted figures or original creations by established artists)

– Fantasy: All the figures of various themes (science-fiction, fantasy, fantastic wargames, etc.) that due to their characteristics cannot be included in the historical category. It will be subdivided into 3 levels:

• Standard (beginners or with little experience).

• Master Painting (Commercial figures painted by established artists)

• Master Open (Deeply transformed painted figures or original creations by established artists)

– Original sculptures: Only original figures fully molded, not marketed and unpainted or with a primer layer may participate; They can be of any theme and scale.

– Flat Figure: Two-dimensional figures located on a suitable support; They can be of any theme and scale. It will be subdivided into 2 levels:

• Standard (beginners or with little experience).

• Master (commercial figures painted by established artists).

– Military Models: Vehicles of any scale without incorporating into any scene.

– Civil Models: Vehicles of any scale without incorporating into any scene.

– Aviation: Aircraft or similar both civil and military.

– Science-Fiction: Any widget of any scale that can be included in this category.

– Scenography: All kinds of scenes and doiramas. To display a maximum size of 70cm x 25cm x 25cm approx.

PRIZES:

In addition to the organic prizes in each category, a series of special prizes will be awarded:

3 Best of Show:

Models, Fantasy, Historical

JURY:

The jury, made up of renowned international sculptors and painters, guarantees that all displays will be judged equally, and that the maximum score will determine the classification and winner. The jury reserves the right to change the category of figures if it deems it appropriate and all its decisions will be irrevocable and unquestionable. The jury, who will not compete in the contest, will have special showcases to display their work.

TIMES:

Entry of pieces: Friday 27 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Competition Visiting Hours: Saturday 28 from 10am to 8pm and Sunday 29 from 10am to 1:30pm

Awards delivery: On Sunday, October 29 at 1:30 p.m. we will celebrate the awards ceremony and Gold, Silver, Bronze medals and some Special Awards and Best of Show will be given to deserving contestants .

Withdrawal of pieces: Only when the ceremony ends (around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday), can the material be withdrawn. Also on the same Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. the Church of San Lucas will remain closed)

ORGANIZATION:

All the material will be protected by closed and illuminated showcases and the organization will have security personnel. Baluard declines all responsibility for the material exposed during the days of the contest, assembly and disassembly. The organization may photograph and record all the pieces and publish this material in internal bulletins or specialized magazines. The organization will disqualify and/or remove any work it deems offensive.
